Is this your evening?

Tick the ones that are true for you.

A mind that never clocks out pays for it somewhere

Overthinking feels like being responsible. It feels like staying on top of things. But a mind that runs all evening is not solving anything; it is going round the same loop, and it is tiring you out while it does.

The people at home notice first. You are there, but you are not really there. Then it shows up at work too, because a mind that never rests does not think clearly when it matters.

What you have probably tried already

Telling yourself to stop

Trying not to think about something is the fastest way to think about it more.

Netflix and scrolling

It distracts the mind for an hour. It does not calm it. The loop is waiting when the screen goes off.

Planning and to-do lists

Useful for work. But writing it all down rarely stops the mind from going over it again.

Meditation apps

Hard to sit and watch the breath when the mind is racing. Most people stop within a week.

An overthinking mind is not a thinking problem. It is a state the body is stuck in, and the breath is the quickest way to change that state.

Why you cannot think your way out

When the day has been demanding, the body stays in a state of alert long after the work is done. Breathing stays quick and shallow, and a body on alert keeps the mind scanning for problems. That is what overthinking is.

You cannot argue with that state, because arguing is more thinking. But you can reach it through the breath. A slow, rhythmic breathing pattern tells the body the day is over, and the mind follows.

After a demanding day
  1. Quick, shallow breathing
  2. The body stays on alert
  3. The mind keeps looping
What the practice does
  1. Slow, rhythmic breathing
  2. The body lets go of the day
  3. Thoughts slow down on their own

What people ask before they come

I do not have time for another commitment.

The session is 45 minutes, online, from home. If you continue, the daily practice takes about 20 minutes.

Is this religious?

No. The practices are based on the breath and are done by people of every faith and none.

Will you try to sell me something?

At the end the teacher explains the full Happiness Program once, including what it costs. Then you go home. Nobody will chase you.

I am sceptical about this kind of thing.

Good. Come with your questions. The session gives you the practice first and the explanation second, so you can judge for yourself.

Do I have to turn my camera on?

No. Many people keep it off for the first session.

What if I cannot make the session I booked?

Reply on WhatsApp and we will move you to the next one. There are four every week.

Give your mind one evening off.

Forty-five minutes, from home, free. If nothing changes, you have lost an evening you would have spent overthinking anyway.
